Important Flight Information

PASSPORT - Please be sure your passport is valid for 6 months before booking your vacation. Costa Rica Immigration Officials WILL NOT let you enter the country if you passport is set to expire - NO EXCEPTIONS.

EXCHANGING MONEY - I highly recommend exchanging your money in Costa Rica at one of the banks in Playas Del Coco. You MUST bring your passport, not a copy, to the bank. At the bank you will get the best exchange rate. The dollar is strong now and if paying by USD, you will lose money if purchasing in Colones except at the grocery stores where they will give you a better exchange.

ATMs - The banks are now only allowing $100 per day withdrawl per day at the ATM machine. If you bring down $100 dollar bills, they are difficult to break unless if you go to the bank.

CREDIT CARDS - All US Credit Cards are accepted here in Costa Rica. Please check in with your card company prior to leaving so they are aware you are traveling outside the US. If you are a haggler when purchasing souvineers, cash is best.
