The people of Costa Rica are lovely and kind. I am a New Yorker and I can honestly say, it is so calming to live in a country where you do not need to worry about bombings, mass shootings, racism, and out of control people. I live the life of Pura Vida - a pure life without the hustle and bustle of the city. Not only are the people great, they have the most beautiful beaches with the Pacific Ocean's normal temperature is 80 degrees. The marine life is spectacular making Costa Rica a magical place to dive.

 

 

Stability in Government

Costa Rica is one of the most economically and politically stable countries in Central America and is viewed as a safe bet. The number of expats living here part-time is growing each year and we are now seeing many new families relocating with their children.

 

Now is the best time to invest in the upswing of Costa Ricas real estate market. Rental income can gross you anywhere 6-7% depending how actively you are in marketing your condo. The rental market is strong and with our small town of Playas del Coco hosting the first ever Ironman in the country, you can count on the rental market to explode.

 

Expansion of the Liberia Airport

Costa Rica now has more direct flights than ever! Tourists are flying into Costa Rica' Daniel Oduber Quirós International Airport (LIR), also known as Liberia Airport. This airport is located 25 minutes from the popular beaches of Hermosa, Coco, Panama and Ocotal in the province of Guanacaste.

 

Liberia's surrounding beach communities have grown as a popular tourist destination due to the direct flights they have added out of Los Angeles, Houston, New York, Atlanta and Miami as well as United Kingdom. (SouthWest, Alaska and Thomson Airways). In 2015, Liberia airport received close to 100,000 more passengers than in 2014, an increase of 12.4%

 

They are expanding the airport begining the third quarter of 2016. They will be increasing the waiting and baggage claim area as well as adding additional spaces for more shops and offices. The investement is over $10.3 million and is scheduled at the end of this year and should be completed by the 2nd quarter of 2017. Rental Income

 

Not everyone wants to stay in a hotel room when they come to Costa Rica. Property Mangers / Rental companies are seeing their business grow due to the amount of people who want to live, even for just a week, among the locals and the expats. Purchasing property in Costa Rica is a great way to get your money out of the United States and into a safe real esate property where you can grow your savings with rental income.
